As we entered the concert hall of the Arena Wien, we were really surprised about less people than expected. However with the beginning of the pre-act Msoke from Germany too, dancing people came and filled the room. Though to his background as a transgender, which he tells the crowd very proud, big respect from Irieunity to this part, he seems to be powerful and happy about his stage time, indeed it would be advisable to play no gunfinger tune after saying your goal is to spread love and unity. We got a lot of african rhythms as well as hardcore dancehall and some soul and funk elements to hear, till Irie Révoltés entered stage with lots of elan as we are used to see them.
For me personally it is, any time I see Irie Révoltés perform, unbelievable how powerful a show act can be. It seems nearly impossible to stand still in any second of their show. I never saw any band with so much enthusiasm and fun on stage, beside on the top promoting only good projects concerning togetherness in love and goals for humanity on earth (Viva con Agua, Alerte Antifascista etc.).
Their new album porcupine some more HipHop beats and some more german chorus lines than usual, but is as powerful as every single one before.
Big up to the band for an unbelievable, powerful and positively charged concert, with big surprises like a rubber raft to gather donations for Viva con Agua, as well as a two hours show with no little sign of fatigue.
