Overjam Reggae Festival 2014

The Overjam Festival is an event whith different nationalities coming together in good vibration to dance to laugh and to meet each other. It is a Reggae Festival in Slovenia (Tolmin), where you easily can get by train, car or bus. This year happening started from the 13th to the 16th of august including a preparty on the 12th of august. The preparty took place on the beach yard directly at river Socà. The area and the atmosphare is perfect for a festival like this.

There is a parking space in front of the camping area aswell as directly at the camping area. All in all the organisation is good and the place well chosen. The preparty was massive, there were no better way to start a festival, with different soundsystems, mostly from italy, slovenia, austria and kroatia, who mashup the place. The official start-up at the mainstage was wonderful with big artists like chronixx and dub inc. During the day weather started to get rainy but with the moment the artists got on the stage, the rain was gone. So however weather tried to cross the plan, athmosphare was build by the artists and the crowd together in a complete positive way. There was such a peaceful feeling which makes it hard to explain in words, you should feel it yourself at the next edition. Beside the mainstage, there were the beachyard and the dub stage too, situated directly by the soca river and the dancehall tent opposite to the main area. Nicest music in their different kinds of reggae roots came from all areas all days and nights long.

The second day was great day too with main act shaggy who were mashing up the place still really powerful. The dancehall was packed with people until the morning light and the soundsystems did not stop rockin the place. With every day atmosphare got better and better.
Big up to all wonderful artists who made this incredible event happen.

Beside a lot of interviews we made at the press area, Luciano inspired me the most, because he was playing a song in front of the reporters which made it a heartical and real powerful moment.

The organisation was good, the artists were happy that there were so many people enjoying the festival although all weather instabilities.

Thanks to the Overjam crew for the great reggae vibration, love, peace and harmony.
